Reading List: Modern Mexico's Standard Guide to the City of Mexico and Vicinity

Found this gem at the the Seattle Public Library: a travel guide from 1902-1903 showing all the highlights of a trip to Mexico City as well as many of the waterways and water infrastructure that was around at the time.

Jonathan Kandell's extensive history of the geography, culture and politics of Mexico City.  Describes the different responses to living on Lake Texcoco from before the Aztecs to the mid-20th century.
